Slovenia is one of the smallest European countries, but also very diverse in its landscapes and culture. There are only around 2 million of us, Slovenians... but we are proud citizens, nature lovers and good sportsmen. One thing I always feel when I come back to my homeland from long trips is the peace in my heart, knowing that this land will always accept me.
I live in the outskirts of the capital city Ljubljana, and whenever I can, no matter the weather, I go on short road trips to different places near or far. But no place is too far in Slovenia, as the country is so small and road connections are very good. Few of my favourite places are: Lake Bled, Lake Bohinj, Cerknica, Škocjan caves, Piran and Triglav National Park. I love my country in all the seasons, as it shows its different nature and colours, and all the diverse wildlife.
